Activity

Sellat is an online service that creates verifiable proof that a specific digital file existed in an exact state at a given time. It does so from the file's SHA-256 cryptographic fingerprint, which is anchored in public records, without needing to keep the file.

Optionally, Sellat also offers qualified timestamps issued by a qualified trust service provider, and custody of the original file.

Using the site

Access to the site is free. Some features require an account.

By using the site you agree to do so lawfully and in line with this notice: not to try to damage or overload the service, not to access other people's systems or accounts without authorisation, and not to use it for unlawful purposes.

Purchases, privacy and cookies

Paid services are governed by the Terms and conditions. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy, and the use of cookies in the Cookie policy, where you can also change your choice. All three are linked at the foot of every page.

Intellectual and industrial property

The Sellat brand, the design of the site, its texts and its code belong to its owner or are used under licence. Open-source components are governed by their own licences.

The files you protect are yours: creating a proof does not transfer any right over them to Sellat.

Content and links

We try to keep the information on the site accurate and current, but it may contain errors or become outdated. What governs a purchase is the Terms and conditions.
